TEN essential things to have for our vacation!!!
It’s almost summertime and the preparation for the next trip has already begun!!! However, there are times when we try to pack as many things as possible and we forget the ones we need the most!! Let’s see what we should leave back so our vacations will go as planned….
From the start…
The ID card and the ticket are those two essential things that we put first in our bag!!! Without those two we are no longer part of the trip and we end up saying goodbye to our friends while they are travelling without us!! Be very careful!!!
Sunscreens, after sun cream and swimsuits are totally required for our vacation!! The sun and sunbathing can be very enticing, but you will not enjoy your trip if you get sunburnt. A swimsuit cannot be missing from your suitcase unless you are a nudism enthusiast.
Vitamins and medicine are necessary!!! Being exposed to the sun, getting a hangover and maybe bad nutrition during your vacation can wear you out, so it is important to have your vitamins with you that can boost your mood and give you energy!!! Don’t forget the painkillers for the headaches that you will need after partying all night!!!

Paros: Local cuisine!
Paros is known for many years now for its wildlife that offers to people of all ages as well as for the beaches with their green-blue waters. However, many tourists are enchanted by its local cuisine. When good food gets together with the love of the hospitable residents of the island, only success can come up from this fusion. The island is scattered with unique flavours, from Parikia’s harbour to the cosmopolitan Naousa and from the beautiful Lefkes to Aliki.
Seafood
Fish is the main ingredient that you will find in the dishes of Paros. The cuisine of Paros is based on the products that come from the sea. It is rich in seafood, which is cooked in different ways. Some of the favourite dishes of Paros are kakavia, salatouri which is a salad with ray, stuffed squids with rice, cuttlefish with leek and spinach and octopus with tomato sauce. Do not forget to combine it with a glass of tsipouro of Paros, which is named souma.
Cheeses
Cheeses are some of the local products of Paros that never miss from the table. Xinomyzithra, ladotyri, the brine cheese, “Touloumisio” sour cottage spread cheese and myzithra in combination with fresh fermented pieces of bread, rusks and bagels provide the Greek cuisine with unique flavours. Do not avoid the wooden ovens which you will find in every corner of the island. You will get the taste of warm, homemade bread.
Desserts
Paros is known for its confectioneries. Before departing from Paros you can find in every store on the island traditional rafioli, bread wreath, little Lazarus buns, petimezinia and kalitsounia. Whether it is a bakery or a confectionary. Finally, do not forget syrup sweets, with sugar-baklava being on the top of the list.
