Rome is considered one of the most beautiful European cities. The Eternal City
As an authentic city-museum, so rich in art and history and so beautiful, Rome undoubtedly has the most and the best sightseeings in the world. Italy accounts for two-thirds of the world’s artworks (monuments and masterpieces). Half of this heritage is located in Rome. Also, the italian capital combines an exceptional variety of monuments of different historical eras and of different societies that cover almost 2,800 years of human history. Over the centuries, the city of Rome prevailed as the center of the mighty Roman Empire that remained for long intact, despite the blows and wounds it suffered. It prospered through the Renaissance and the Middle Ages, survived through the numerous attempts of foreign domination and was finally transformed into the modern city we see today.
