Patitiri
Patitiri is the capital of the island and the port where all the ships arrive. It’s a charming village, which was named after the wine pressers, due to the fact that the locals back then, were wine-growers. In this part of the island you will find many places, such as tavernas and cafeterias, where the visitor can enjoy the view of the port with the many fishing boats and the sailing boats. At the end of the port there is a small beach with beautiful blue and green, clean waters and some cliffs with pine trees, which are being illuminated by headlamps at night. The Old Alonissos
The Old Alonissos, or the Old Village or the Country is a beautiful place from where you can enjoy a big part of the island, as well the sea from both sides of the island. National Marine Park
The National Marine Park of North Sporades is the biggest European marine park and the first founded in Greece. Here you will find a unique amount of land and marine habitats, and also important archeological and historical monuments. In places where the access to the public is free, the visitors are allowed to swim, dive, observe the wildlife, take photos, visit monuments, or take a walk. You can take the boat from Patitiri to the small islands of the sea park and if you are lucky enough you may see a seal monachus-monachus.
